Used offshore vessels for sale
Above you will find the offshore vessels we currently have for sale. At the moment this is a set of two fast crew suppliers built by Damen Shipyards in 2012: 25.75 x 10.40 x 2.90 m, 1,790 kW propulsion, a maximum speed of 25 knots and 12 + 12 passenger seats, with Bureau Veritas class valid until 06/2027. Full specifications are available on request; please contact us with the folio number.
Most offshore vessels change hands without being advertised. Send us the type, deck area, DP class, bollard pull, year of build and delivery area you need, and we will approach owners directly.
Types of offshore vessels
- Platform supply vessels (PSV) – offshore supply vessels with a large open deck and tanks below deck for fuel, water, drilling fluids and dry bulk, to keep offshore platforms supplied.
- Anchor handling tug supply vessels (AHTS) – combine supply work with towing and anchor handling, for rig moves and positioning. Smaller anchor handling tugs are listed under tugboats, such as our newbuild 32 m anchor handling tug with 70 t bollard pull.
- Multipurpose support vessels (MPSV) – a crane, deck space and often a moonpool or A-frame for subsea inspection, maintenance and light construction.
- Crew transfer vessels (CTV) – fast aluminium or steel boats that carry technicians and parts to offshore wind farms and installations.
- Offshore construction vessels – vessels and barges for cable and pipe laying, subsea installation and other construction work at sea.
Coastal and nearshore projects often use multicats and jack-up barges instead.
What does an offshore vessel cost?
There is no list price for a used offshore vessel. The price depends mainly on:
- Type and size – deck area, deadweight, bollard pull, crane capacity or passenger capacity.
- DP class – dynamic positioning (DP1 or DP2) and the results of recent DP trials.
- Age, yard and engines – year of build, builder, engine make and running hours since overhaul.
- Class and certificates – class status, the date of the next special survey and notations such as fire-fighting.
- Equipment – cranes, A-frame, moonpool, winches and accommodation.
- Market and location – demand in oil and gas and offshore wind, and the cost of delivery to your area.

What to check before buying an offshore vessel
For offshore work, the certificates are often as important as the vessel itself. Buyers check the class and flag status, DP documentation and trials, the survey and docking history, running hours of main engines and thrusters, and whether the deck, tanks and accommodation match the contract the vessel is bought for. For crew transfer vessels, speed, seakeeping, passenger capacity and fuel consumption decide the choice.
Typical applications
- Supply of offshore oil and gas platforms
- Crew transfer and maintenance for offshore wind farms

Frequently asked questions
How much does an offshore vessel cost?
That depends on type, size, DP class, age, class status and the market at the time of sale. A crew transfer vessel and a DP2 platform supply vessel are in completely different price ranges. Send us your requirements and we will send you suitable vessels with full specifications, or ask for a valuation of a specific vessel.
What is the difference between a PSV and an AHTS?
A platform supply vessel carries cargo to and from platforms and is built around deck area and tank capacity. An anchor handling tug supply vessel can also tow and handle anchors, so it has a towing winch, a stern roller and a high bollard pull.
Can you find an offshore vessel that is not listed?
Yes. Send us the type, size, DP class, year of build and delivery area you need, and we will approach owners for you, including owners of vessels that are not advertised.
How do I sell my offshore vessel?
Send us the main particulars, class and DP status, recent photos and the date of the next survey via List your vessel, or contact us directly. We advise on a realistic asking price and present the vessel discreetly to buyers worldwide.
